Your Journey in Self-Discovery Starts Here!
Meet Debbie
I remember in high school thinking seriously about becoming a therapist. My journey took many different detours and at times I hit road blocks. Life is funny this way, but I honestly don’t think I was ready to pursue psychology at the time. I had much to learn about life both the positives and negatives that build our resilience. I have met many people along the way who have shared their life experiences and this has allowed me to see and understand different perspectives. Our many experiences may be the same, but our thoughts, feelings and behaviours may differ. I believe life experiences prepare us for where we are supposed to be in life. As human beings our resilience is stronger than we give ourselves credit for.
I have arrived at my final destination and hope I can be of assistance to those who are questioning who they are, struggling through the lows, anxious thoughts, and other issues. Thoughts are just thoughts but they are also telling you something. The something maybe it is time for change and with this change the hope of living a better life. Every day is a blessing and every breath a cleansing. Letting go of the stuffed emotions is key to calmness and spiritual well-being.
For self-care I enjoy going for walks with my dog in the autumn leaves and seeing the beautiful vibrant colors. Mother nature is amazing and this is a gift that she shares with us. I like sweater weather, and curling up with a good book and a cup of tea. I believe music calms the soul and you will often find me attached to headphones listening to a variety of music. I appreciate the quiet moments when there is not a single sound around me. This to allows for a sense of calm with the ability to really listen to and connect with my thoughts and emotions. It is amazing what those thoughts and emotions say to me.
