How can Deborah help?

Deborah uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which helps people to change their lives. Our decisions are based on what we are thinking and our way of thinking can affect how we behave. Deborah will assist you in identifying and understanding the thoughts, challenging them, and changing them. CBT helps people with their stress, worry, anger, low mood, anger, and other mental health concerns. It can address concerns that require a solution focus. During session Deborah will discuss your beliefs and interpretations of what has and is happening, and the emotions associated.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) assists clients to accept their feelings and thoughts. This is a goal oriented approach and includes your ability to take the steps in making changes and leaning how to change your behaviors. ACT is also beneficial to you in addressing and challenging your fear(s), stressors, and anxieties.

Deborah may also use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) which helps people change how they react in certain situations because of their intense emotions. With the uses of DBT Deborah can assist you in identifying the negative thoughts and how you react. Deborah will discuss and provide the tools that can help change how you behave to your negative thoughts and help you to gain your power and control when is certain situations. Also, relaxation and mindfulness to regulate and destress when feeling uncomfortable will be discussed.

At times there will be homework and techniques to practice, which may assist you with your identified challenges.
